UNION COUNTY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION WORKSHOPS FOR 2018/2019
The UCEA Office is located at 77 Central Avenue, Suite 201, Clark, NJ.
A $10.00 deposit is required with your registration. Each workshop requires a separate $10.00 check per person. Send your check made out to UCEA, along with Your Name, District, Home Phone, Work Phone number to the UCEA office. Deposits will be returned at the end of your workshop or if you cancel within three (3) business days prior to the workshop. Light refreshments will be available from 4:00pm.
Note: In order to receive a certificate, you must arrive on time and remain until the end. Workshops are from 4:30pm-6:30pm

Workshop Description: For the past two years, educators in New Jersey have concentrated on the nuts and bolts of Student Growth Objectives. This workshop will explore the question of if and how SGOs can be created so they can be used to engage students in the right work and monitor their progress in a way that will truly help to inform instruction.
Your Social Security

Workshop Description: This session provides and in-depth explanation on the retirement, disability and death benefits of Social Security. Materials will be distributed.

Workshop Description: Conferences are an essential component to develop the bond between the school and the home. Educators have the opportunity to explore student growth and areas of opportunity and engage in authentic, two-way communication with families throughout the conference process. Throughout this session, participants will be introduced to a variety of strategies to enhance the parent conference process, including that of student-led conferences and incorporating student voice into the conferencing process.
